Data processed and its source

The form asks for a name, arrival and departure dates and the number of guests. The website uses these details on the visitor’s device to prepare an enquiry that can be reviewed before WhatsApp opens; it does not store the form in its own database.

Contact details, communications and other information voluntarily provided through WhatsApp, telephone or email may also be processed, together with the information required if a booking or stay is subsequently formalised.

The website does not create user accounts, offer a private area, process online payments or make automatic bookings.

Purposes and lawful bases

Data is used to answer enquiries and availability requests, manage communications before a possible booking and, if one is formalised, organise the booking and stay. These activities are based on taking pre-contractual steps requested by the person concerned and, where applicable, performing the agreed relationship.

Data needed to comply with legal obligations applying to the accommodation activity will also be processed. Where communications must be retained to handle claims or defend legal rights, processing is based on the controllers’ legitimate interests, balanced against the rights of the person concerned.

Retention

Data will be kept for the time needed to handle the enquiry or guest relationship. It will then be retained with restricted use for the periods required by applicable legal obligations or for as long as liabilities may arise.

Recipients and external services

Data is not disclosed to third parties unless this is necessary to provide the service, comply with a legal obligation or respond to a request from a competent authority.

If a visitor chooses to use WhatsApp, the communication is handled through an external service and is subject to its own terms and privacy policy. Mirador del Cerro Negro processes the communication received to answer the enquiry but does not control processing carried out by WhatsApp for its own purposes.

The website uses Cloudflare for hosting and technical protection. Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregated usage and performance statistics through a configuration that does not use cookies or browser storage.

Data protection rights

You may request access to, rectification or erasure of your data and exercise the rights to object, restrict processing and data portability where applicable by writing to miradordelcerronegro@gmail.com. The request must allow your identity to be verified and specify the right you wish to exercise.

If you believe that the processing does not comply with data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

Analytics, privacy and cookies

The website does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, behavioural advertising, remarketing or other marketing trackers.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is used solely for aggregated statistics on visits, page views, countries, device types and performance, including Core Web Vitals. Under the current configuration, it does not use cookies, local storage or identifiers to track individual visitors; no cookie banner is therefore shown solely because of this tool.

No custom conversion events have been implemented. This policy and, where necessary, the consent mechanism will be reviewed before any additional technology is introduced or this configuration changes.
